The receiver board is fitted in the Optimover to receive directions from the remote control. 

Optitec upgraded the Receiver Board fitted to all new Optimovers in June 2024.  This new receiver board is more responsive and more durable and is only compatible with a white remote control.  

Please purchase this receiver board & remote control combo if:

  • You have lost or damaged a black remote control (provided with Optimovers purchased prior to June 2024).
  • You are experiencing a deteroriation in the signal between your Optimover and remote control (which can occur in Optimovers 5+ years old).  For more information see our trouble shooting guide.

The receiver board is easy to self-install.  Please see changeover instructions via tab below.  The White Remote Control requires an A23 Battery (not included).

Clamp Size Guide

Optitec recommends a heavy duty double clamp for moving trailers and caravans over 1500kg.   There are numerous clamps available to fit different size drawbars. 

Finding your perfect clamp:

Step 1.  Locate the best position on your drawbar to place the bracket; the Optimover is effective anywhere on the front drawbar where space allows. 

Step 2.  Measure the drawbar  height.

Step 3.  Measure the drawbar width.

Step 4.  Use the size guide below to select your bracket.
