Our Story
Optitec is an Australian, family-owned company striving to make camping and outdoor recreation fun, easy and hassle free.
Optitec is most famous for the design, manufacture and distribution of the Optimover; a powerful yet compact motorised jockey wheel that moves caravans, boats, horse floats and commercial trailers up to 3500kg.
The first Optimover prototype was designed and engineered in 2008 and then introduced to the Australian market in 2009 following rigorous testing and adherence to the highest manufacturing standards. The combination of its powerful drive motor, compact design and operation via remote control make it a standout product in its field. It’s now owned by over 10,000 Australians and growing every day.
2025 marked the introduction of the All Terrain Mover – made to go off-road and tackle different scenarios to the Optimover. We’re thrilled to provide customers with more choice and solve more customer problems.
At Optitec we are committed to both excellence in product quality and excellence in customer service. We encourage our customers – new and old – to contact us for support in using and maintaining your Optitec products.
We love seeing our customers benefit from their Optitec products and we’re thrilled to contribute a small part to your camping and outdoor adventures.
Clamp Size Guide
Optitec recommends a heavy duty double clamp for moving trailers and caravans over 1500kg. There are numerous clamps available to fit different size drawbars.
Finding your perfect clamp:
Step 1. Locate the best position on your drawbar to place the bracket; the Optimover is effective anywhere on the front drawbar where space allows.
Step 2. Measure the drawbar height.
Step 3. Measure the drawbar width.
Step 4. Use the size guide below to select your bracket.
